Ms. Sandra E. Pierce is the President of Charter One Michigan & Indiana of Citizens Financial Group, Inc. She serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Charter One Bank. Ms. Pierce served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Michigan - Midwest Region at Charter One Bank, National Association of RBS Citizens, N.A. She oversaw 140 branches and more than 1,100 employees throughout the state, including branch staff, business bankers and commercial lenders at Charter One Bank. Ms. Pierce served as Regional Executive of Midwest Retail Operations for Bank One, with responsibilities for Michigan and Indiana. Since 1978, she held a number of management positions in the retail, commercial lending, and private banking businesses at Bank One and its predecessor companies, First Chicago NBD Corp. and NBD Bancorp. Ms. Pierce serves as the Chairman of Detroit Regional Chamber. She serves as a Vice Chairman of Business Leaders for Michigan. Ms. Pierce serves as a Director of Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan and Downtown Detroit Partnership. Her civic and community involvement include the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan; Detroit Economic Club; Invest Detroit; Detroit Renaissance, Inc.; Detroit Zoological Society; Downtown Detroit Partnership; Henry Ford Health System; Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion; New Detroit, Inc.; Rainbow Connection and Wayne State University Board of Visitors. Ms. Pierce holds an M.B.A. in Finance and a B.B.A. from Wayne State University.
