Ellen Corenswet has over 35 years' experience in venture capital transactions at all stages, for both companies and investors. She is Co-Chair of Covington's Venture Capital/Emerging Company Practice Group and resides in the New York office – specializing in representing emerging growth companies on structuring issues, founders' equity, equity plans and executive compensation, intellectual property issues, venture financings, corporate governance, and commercial agreements and, at later stages, IPOs, M&A transactions, and SEC reporting. Ellen's practice focuses on a number of industries, including software and Internet platforms and services, media, life sciences and clean tech. She has helped numerous companies prepare for and execute an IPO or M&A exit. Ellen takes a hands on, business-focused approach to working with companies and investors. Her clients include TouchTunes Interactive Networks, Inc., the world's largest out-of-home entertainment technology company, VantagePoint Venture Partners, a West Coast venture capital firm focused on clean tech, technology and software, and Acorda Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly-held biotech company. Ellen is on the Board of National Advisors of Springboard Enterprises, Inc., which coaches and supports women-owned or managed growth businesses. She has been a long-time advisor to Springboard companies in the tech, media and life sciences sectors and her firm, Covington, has been a long-time sponsor of this organization. Ellen received her J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. from the University of Florida, B.A.
